Today, we celebrate a milestone for one of our very own, Holli Kelderman, who has dedicated five years of service to Marion County Bank. Holli joined our team serving in Loan Support and as our phone receptionist for our Pella branch. Her first few months on the job were anything but "business as normal." We had just converted to a new system and we had just acquired Iowa State Savings Bank.  To add to the mix, just a few months later, the world was faced with the onset of the pandemic. But through it all, Holli remained a steady, calm, and reliable presence.

As David so perfectly put it, "It was a big deal when Holli came to us. She brought a 'can-do' attitude that we desperately needed, and she took on every challenge with a calm and steady demeanor." Holli truly stepped into the fire, and handled every situation with grace and professionalism. Her ability to stay composed, no matter what the day brought, has made her an invaluable part of the team.

Holli’s servant heart is another aspect that makes her such a treasured member of the Marion County Bank family. David remarked that this quality isn't just evident in her work but is also clear in the way she serves her church and local schools. Her selflessness and commitment to the community align perfectly with the values we hold as community bankers.

David and Kevin both agree that Holli’s dependability is unmatched, and they truly appreciate her willingness to work with—and put up with—our eclectic group of loan officers. It's no easy task, yet Holli handles it all with grace and humor. Holli responded by saying, "You guys continue to challenge me every day. I'm never bored."

Today, the staff came together to celebrate Holli over a breakfast, sharing stories and laughter as we honored her five years of hard work, dedication, and the great attitude she brings to the bank every day.

Holli, thank you for your service to Marion County Bank. We celebrate with you today.
