This morning, we had the privilege of celebrating Stacie Van Wyk and her five-year anniversary with Marion County Bank! From the moment she joined us, Stacie has been a shining example of kindness, adaptability, and customer care.
Shannon Long, Retail Manager, kicked off the celebration by sharing a unique piece of Stacie’s journey—she had only been with us for two weeks when the pandemic hit. While training in retail banking typically involves face-to-face customer interactions, Stacie had to learn in an environment where customers weren’t physically in the bank. Her ability to adapt and embrace the challenge was remarkable.
Over the years, Stacie has built genuine relationships with our customers—so much so that many ask for her by name and even stop by just to see her, even when they have no banking to do! Her warmth and authenticity make everyone feel valued, and that’s something truly special.
When asked about her time at the bank, Stacie shared,
“My favorite part of my job is being able to help customers with their banking needs. My favorite part of working here is the people I work with because they are like family to me. We help each other, we laugh, and have a great time working together.”
Lisa Walters, Executive Vice President, echoed Shannon’s words, highlighting Stacie’s patience and the lasting relationships she’s built through her caring approach. She said she is always looking out for others with a selfless spirit. Stacie’s influence makes our team stronger, and her kindness makes our workplace better every day.
Congratulations on five years of outstanding service.
We celebrate with you today.
