Join us as we celebrate the retirement of Karin Sparks, whose 24 years of service have been marked by dedication, adaptability, and her ever-warm smile.
Karin’s career path started in an unexpected way—at Super Value, where her precise deposits caught the attention of the bank! It wasn't long after Super Value closed that she started with Iowa State Savings Bank as a teller. Since then, she has spent more than two decades building friendships, serving customers, and creating a welcoming environment.
She finished her career in our Pella office, where her expertise and kind demeanor continued to make a difference. Lisa reflected on Karin’s ability to adapt to the challenges of the transition, her valuable perspective, and her unwavering commitment to customer service.
As Karin looks ahead, she plans to keep busy in retirement by swimming, visiting family, and taking time to treat herself. She’ll even occasionally lend a hand at our Melcher-Dallas office. Reflecting on her time at the bank, Karin shared heartfelt words:
“All of you have been so kind. I’ve made a lot of great friends. Working here… it was wonderful, it was wonderful.”
Karin, your warmth, dedication, and friendship have touched so many. We are deeply grateful for your 24 years of service and wish you all the best in this exciting new chapter. Congratulations!
We celebrate with you today.
