Join us as we celebrate Patti Van Zante and her incredible nearly 50-year career in banking, including the last 12 years with us. Patti’s journey began with 37 years at US Bank before she made the decision to join a community bank, seeking the close connections and relationships that have been the hallmark of her career.

Lisa, Senior Vice President of Retail Banking, shared her admiration for Patti’s gift for building relationships. “When you go to Patti’s teller window, it’s never just a transaction—it’s an experience,” Lisa said. Patti has cultivated a loyal following of customers who are happy to wait for her because of the genuine care and attention she brings to every interaction.

Kevin Bolt, Senior Vice President, added that Patti’s laughter and contagious joy are an essential part of the workplace. While he can’t see her from his office, he can always hear her whistling, a sound that embodies the happiness she brings to her role. “It’s a very neat thing that Patti has established,” Kevin remarked.

During the celebration, Patti reflected on her career with gratitude, saying, “I love my customers. They were always the most important people to me. I can’t wait to visit some of my previous customers—we’ll have a good time!” She also shared how much she has valued her coworkers over the years, describing them as fabulous and recalling the many fun memories they’ve shared (including a few pranks).

As she looks ahead, Patti plans to spend some time organizing her home and prioritizing visits with old friends. She hopes to stop by the bank occasionally and stay connected with the people who mean so much to her.

When asked what advice she would share with the next generation of bankers, Patti reflected on the many changes in the industry over the years and offered timeless wisdom: “There have been so many changes in banking, and that will probably continue, but you can always be kind and love on each other.”

Patti, we will miss your energy, joy, and the lasting bonds you’ve created with customers and coworkers alike. Congratulations on your retirement and thank you for the incredible impact you’ve made on all of us!

We celebrate with you today.
