Join us in congratulating Amy Juffer on 10 years of service with Marion County Bank!

Lisa Walters highlighted how Amy has seamlessly taken on new roles throughout her time at the bank. “As Amy has moved from one position to the next, it has been really valuable.” Turning to Amy she said, “You have seen the whole loop and have been able to make connections and improve our processes in each position you have had with us. You are always focusing on how to best serve the customer.”

Carolyn Harthoorn works with Amy in the Operations department. “Amy has so many experiences and talents. That has made her a wonderful teacher. She always explains the “why” behind what we do.” But while those things are appreciated, she went on to describe what was the first thing she thought of when thinking about Amy.

“It’s your smile. It’s the first thing we see, and it lights up the room. You’re so cheerful. It’s a joy to have you as part of the department.”

“In all reality, I feel like Marion County Bank has been a part of me my whole life,” said Amy. “I grew up coming to the bank often as a kid, since my Dad (former Bank President and 50 year banker, Pete Verhey) worked here for many years. I remember the candy and the fish (as any kid would back in the day), but I also distinctly remember witnessing the genuine connections my Dad had with the people he worked with as well as with those he was able to serve." Amy continued:

"Working here over the past 10 years has given me the opportunity to experience those connections for myself, and what a blessing it has been! Marion County Bank is a very special place filled with very special people, and I consider it a privilege to be part of a business like this that strives to serve our community and each other better every day.”

Amy was presented with flowers and a gift to recognize her years of service. The staff also celebrated with breakfast.

Thank you, Amy, for your 10 years of service. We celebrate with you today.
