The final whistle has blown on this year’s Bucks for Baskets events, and what a fun season it’s been! Our last stop was at Pella High School on Friday night, where eight students took center court during halftime of the Tulip City Showdown, raising an impressive $3,325 for their school’s Student Activity Fund.

Between our two Pella and PC events, students helped raise a total of $7,650, which will be split between the two schools. We also saw great performances at Knoxville ($3,225) and celebrated the first-ever Bucks for Baskets event at Melcher-Dallas, where four students earned $1,350—kicking off a new tradition in style!

Bucks for Baskets: Grand Totals

  • Pella and PC: Since 2004--Split Between the Two Schools: $152,125
  • Knoxville: Since 2022: $12,325
  • Melcher-Dallas: Since 2025: 1,350

A big thank you to all the students who participated, the fans who filled the stands, and the schools that hosted us. Good luck to all the teams as they wrap up their seasons—we’ll be back next year!
