On Tuesday, January 14, we hosted our first-ever Bucks for Baskets event at Melcher-Dallas. The event was held in the school’s brand-new gym, with an enthusiastic crowd of supporters cheering on the students as they competed to earn money for their school.

Friday night’s basketball game between Pella and Pella Christian wasn’t just about points on the scoreboard or an intense cross-town rivalry—it was about coming together and giving back! During halftime, students from both schools took the court for Bucks for Baskets, an exciting challenge that turned made shots into a bank donation.

Since 2007, Marion County Bank has offered our Report Card Debit Card Rewards Program as a way to support local schools. This year, the grand total donated to all schools reached $499,302.58. The donation for 2024 totaled $76,046.92.
