Join us as we celebrate Lisa Boyd and her five years of service with Marion County Bank. It was a great reminder of how fortunate we are to have people like her on our team — people who bring experience, positivity, and heart to everything they do.

Lisa came to us with banking experience and was set to start her new role in March of 2020, right as the world was adjusting to the uncertainty of the pandemic. Even with the challenges of that time, she settled in quickly and made a positive impression on everyone around her.

During the celebration, Diane Roose shared a few stories about Lisa’s journey with the bank. One favorite moment was from Lisa’s interview with Ron and Diane, when her phone rang in the middle of the conversation — a memory that still makes them smile today. 

Lisa’s time with the bank began in our Knoxville location, where she built strong connections with both her coworkers and customers. When the opportunity came for her to transfer to Pella and be closer to her children’s school activities, the team cheered her on. The fact that several of her Knoxville teammates showed up to her 5-year anniversary breakfast speaks volumes about the kind of person Lisa is and the relationships she’s built.

Diane shared how much she appreciates Lisa’s positive attitude, sense of humor, and ability to connect with others. “She’s easy to talk to, always smiling, and she never complains,” Diane said. “I truly enjoy what Lisa brings to the team and look forward to many more years working with her.”

Lisa wrapped up the celebration by saying, "I've loved every stop along the way. Working with all of you has really been great."
