The energy was high at Tuesday night’s Knoxville vs. Chariton basketball game, and it didn't stop at during halftime. As soon as the half came to a close, Knoxville High School students took center court for Marion County Bank’s Bucks for Baskets, turning their basketball skills into real support for their school.
Eight students competed, taking their best shots from the free throw line, three-point range, and even half-court—where one incredible shot landed a $1,000 donation! By the end of the night, their efforts added up to a $3,225 donation to Knoxville’s Student Activity Fund.
Since launching in 2022, Marion County Bank’s halftime events have raised $12,325 for Knoxville Community Schools, helping fund programs that benefit students across the district.
We’re proud to continue this tradition of supporting our schools, and we can’t wait to bring the excitement back next year!
Final Bucks for Baskets of the season coming soon!
Mark your calendars—Our Bucks for Baskets seasons comes to a close on February 7 at the Pella vs Pella Christian game. We can’t wait to see more students take their best shots to earn money for their school.
Thank you to all the students who participated, and we’ll see you on the court again soon!
